We built this place for real life in Kyiv — not just for a quick stop

Many hostels in Kyiv focus on parties and short stays. We don't. Here it's different: quiet nights, clean mornings, and familiar faces in the kitchen. If something isn't right, it gets fixed today — not someday.

Many guests come for a few nights and end up staying much longer. It feels more like sharing an apartment than staying in a typical hostel. We talk like normal people — not like staff and guests reading scripts.

More than 60% of our guests stay long-term. Not because we convince them to — but because a stable, quiet home in the city centre is hard to leave.

DJA is a small community where the rules simply make life easier for everyone.

Quiet hours 22:00–07:00 From 22:00 to 07:00 — no loud conversations in common areas, no speakerphone calls, no music. Whisper in the room. Use common sense everywhere else.
🚭
No smoking No smoking or vaping inside — rooms, corridors, bathrooms, windows. Outside only. That's how we live.
🍷
No alcohol or drugs No alcohol, drugs, or being under the influence on the premises. No weapons.
✨
Clean up after yourself Wash dishes after use, wipe the stove, leave the shower clean and dry, throw hair in the bin. Staff keep order — guests keep it that way between cleanings.

Real questions people ask

Can I try for a few nights and then extend?
Yes, that's normal here. A lot of people start with 1-3 nights, feel the vibe, then stay for weeks or months.
Can I check in early or check out late?
Usually yes, if we have a free bed. Early check-in or late check-out is 50% of the daily rate - just text us before.
Are there lockers? What about valuables?
Each bed has its own locker (your lock or code). If you carry something expensive, we can put it in the reception safe.
Is it safe to leave things around?
Yes. Personal locker at every bed, CCTV in common areas, and people here know each other.
Can I smoke or drink alcohol here?
Inside the hostel — no smoking and no alcohol. This boundary keeps the place calm for everyone.
How many showers and toilets are there?
One shared shower and one toilet.
Where is the nearest shelter?
In our building — in the courtyard. Plus Zoloti Vorota metro station is 12 min on foot, which also serves as a shelter.

We try to be honest about the space so there are no surprises.

  • У нас один спільний душ і один туалет. На практиці це працює спокійно: люди домовляються між собою, і черги майже не виникають.
  • Це тихий хостел, а не місце для вечірок. Після 22:00 тут справді тихо.
  • Більшість гостей живуть тижнями або місяцями. Тому атмосфера більше схожа на спільну квартиру, ніж на туристичний хостел.
  • Усього 24 місця. Ми спеціально залишаємо простір невеликим, щоб зберегти спокійну атмосферу.
