Dja is small: 24 beds, 4 rooms and an owner who lives on site. It does not feel like a large anonymous hostel.
If you are looking for parties and late-night gatherings, Dja is not your format. It is better to know that now.

When you need to work in the morning, the last thing you want from a hostel is a party behind the wall. After 22:00, quiet hours apply.
Travelling on your own
There are two separate women’s rooms with 4 beds each. Men do not stay in or enter them.
For a longer stay
A week, a month or longer, if a bed is free for your dates. There is a kitchen, washing machine and dryer. You do not have to eat out every day or keep looking for a new place.
Separate rooms for women and men
4 shared rooms: 2 women’s rooms with 4 beds each and 2 men’s rooms with 8 beds each.
You book an individual bed in a shared women’s or men’s room. There are no private rooms and no ensuite bathrooms.

The beds are wooden and the mattresses are orthopedic. Every bed has a power socket, a locker and personal storage. Reception provides the locker key.

Some guests arrive for a few nights and then extend their stay. Others return whenever they come back to Kyiv.
For a longer stay, you have what you need every day: a kitchen, Wi-Fi, washing machine, dryer and quiet hours at night.
Mark your whole stay in the form up front, and you will see the exact total right away with no surprises later. Want to stay longer? Not a problem, as long as the bed is still free for the new dates. The total is recalculated for the new full stay length.

Arriving and returning without a curfew
Early check-in from 06:00 is possible by prior arrangement and only if a bed is available.
Standard check-in is from 13:00 to 22:00. Arrival after 22:00 is possible by prior arrangement.
Standard check-out is by 12:00. Late check-out until 14:00 is possible by prior arrangement; when charged, early/late service is 50% of one night.
I live on site, so a person opens the door, not an automated system.

The hostel sleeps: no music, loud conversations or speakerphone calls, so everyone wakes up rested.
Smoking
Nobody smokes inside: no cigarettes and no vapes. Please use the street.
Alcohol: no
No alcohol or drugs inside the hostel, and no weapons.
Clean after yourself
The kitchen is clean, the stove is wiped, and shared areas are left in order: everyone tidies up after themselves. A small thing that makes this a home. Tea and coffee are free; fridge shelves are available for guest food.
Shared bathroom
One shared shower and one toilet. There can be a wait at peak times.
We are not trying to control adults. Twenty-four people can live comfortably together only when everyone respects the next person.

Do women and men stay separately?
Yes. Two rooms are for women only, and men do not enter them. The other two rooms are for men only.
